First Ever TOSA
Meeting Held In NJ, US
The first ever TOSA meeting in the US was
successfully organized and hosted by Mrs. Shiela
Tagoe/ Plange of the Tema Secondary School 1976
year group. Mrs. Shiela Plange opened her
residence in the New Jersey area comfortably
accommodating the old students who despite the
short notice braved the distance and the weather
to participate in this all important meeting.
.
Since some of the attendees where not
very familiar with the venue the meeting
actually started a little behind schedule.
Several year groups were effectively represented
and very important issues were discussed during
the brainstorming session.
The discussions mainly centered on the need to
have a well organized TOSA in the United States
to bring together a formidable front to help
ourselves and also help Tema Secondary School in
which ever way possible.
.
It was agreed at the meeting that the
Temasco website has been serving as a useful
medium and will even do more if the current
package was upgraded to enable a more user
friendly interface. Those who attended
contributed $300.00 to be forwarded to Theo
Amenyenu to be used towards hosting and
upgrading of the current package.
.
Some of the old students TOSA UK called
in and also those here who could not make it to
the meeting also called from Tennessee, Maryland
and Florida to add their voices to this noble
cause.
